Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Management

Dr. Ferraro started his career in Internal Medicine but was quickly drawn to the musculoskeletal system and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). PM&R looks to treat the whole body and identify the core issue, not just diagnose based on the symptoms presented. This personal approach allows Dr. Ferraro to individualize the treatment plan to the specific patient, not the general diagnosis.

In addition to his board certification in PM&R, Dr. Ferraro is board certified in Pain Management, a sub-specialty that dovetails well with PM&R.

Dr. Ferraro is trained in the full spectrum of advanced PM&R and Pain Management diagnostic and treatment options, including injections, interventional treatments, non-surgical treatments, assistive devices, and percutaneous non-spinal procedures and nerve blocks. His goal is to help patients relieve pain, restore optimal function and improve their overall quality of life.

A native Floridian, Dr. Ferraro came to Maryland in 2008 to join a practice in Annapolis. “I was eventually asked to expand the practice into Calvert County and split my time between there and here. The longer I’m here, the more I appreciate what CMH and the county offer and I’m happy being here full time. Everyone is very down to earth here and open to discussing their issues. We decide the treatment plan together which allows the patient to fully participate in their health. That’s really what I want.”
