Temporary Service Disruption to Inpatient Behavioral Health Services at CalvertHealth Medical Center

CalvertHealth Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Unit, located on Level 5, will have a temporary disruption of service beginning on February 1 through March 11. As CalvertHealth expands to private patient rooms on our medical and surgical floors, we are also reinforcing the roof of our Behavioral Health Unit. Our top priority is always safe, quality care for our patients and it was with an abundance of care and concern that we made the decision to temporarily disrupt services on the unit for 5-weeks.

It is recommended that during this 5-week period, all behavioral health patients go to their nearest Emergency Department for a psychiatric evaluation. For those patients coming to CalvertHealth, we have made arrangements with other hospitals and facilities for inpatient transfer and care.

Our partial hospitalization program will not be affected and will continue to operate during this time on Level 4 of the hospital.
