Physical Therapy


If you have acute or chronic pain, back pain, a work related injury, a physical disability or movement problem, or recently had surgery to repair or replace your hips, knee or shoulder, physical therapy can help you regain range of motion and flexibility, increase your strength, relieve your pain and improve your functional status.

Occupational Therapy

Hand/Upper Extremity Therapy


(Available in Prince Frederick and Solomons)

When a traumatic or repetitive injury or condition has affected your hands or arms, you need specialized rehabilitation. Our occupational therapists are highly skilled and trained in the evaluation and treatment of hand and upper extremity injuries.

  • Splinting and exercise for post-operative reconstruction (tendon and nerve repairs)
  • Therapy for cumulative trauma and overuse (tendonitis)

Inpatient Rehab


Located on the fourth floor of CalvertHealth are our inpatient Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and our inpatient and outpatient Speech & Language Therapy department. Patients, their families and staff are involved in setting individualized goals and learning skills needed for improved functional success at home. The Rehabilitation Department is staffed with experienced physical and occupational therapists, therapy assistants and speech-language pathologists. Therapists evaluate and treat patients in all inpatient and sub-acute units at CalvertHealth.

Physical and Occupational Therapy

Physical and Occupational therapy can help you regain range of motion and flexibility, increase your strength, relieve your pain and improve your functional status. Therapy can also help you prepare to return to your activities of daily living.

Speech Pathology
