Calvert Memorial Hospital Foundation Teeing Up on May 15

03/22/2017
It’s almost time to tee up for the 28th Annual Calvert Memorial Hospital (CMH) Foundation Benefit Golf Classic on Monday, May 15 at Old South Country Club in Lothian. Proceeds from this year’s event will help fund computer technology upgrades to the hospital’s Emergency Department.

“With the increased complexity of emergency room cases, we are always seeking ways to improve. Efficient information management at the fingertips of our medical team is essential to providing timely and high-quality care. These technology upgrades will allow us serve our community even better,” said Theresa Johnson, executive director of the Foundation.

“The CMH Foundation Benefit Golf Classic is always a day filled with great golf and a ton of fun - all while supporting a great cause,” said event chair Pat Petricko. Various sponsorship levels are available including tee signs, foursomes and corporate packages. Tee times are at 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Space is limited and early registration is encouraged.

The tournament will be held at Old South Country Club, which has hosted the CMH Foundation Golf Classic for many years. Recognized as one of the best courses in the mid-Atlantic, it has hosted countless professional and amateur tournaments, including the mid-Atlantic Tournament of Champions and the Maryland Men’s Open.

Since the tournament began in 1990, it has raised more than $1.2 million for equipment and programs such as the urgent care at Prince Frederick, the patient portal giving patients access to essential medical information, a centrifuge unit and most recently, the Mobile Health Center.
