The
Anticoagulation Clinic at CalvertHealth helps patients on the blood thinner, warfarin, manage their therapy. Regular monitoring is very important for these patients because when used incorrectly or without regular blood tests, these anticoagulants can cause serious side effects. While taking blood thinners, patients can bleed more easily or be at risk for developing clots. At the clinic, patients can have their blood tested with a fingerstick and get their results immediately. A clinician will adjust the dosage, if necessary, and answer any questions.
The Anticoagulation Clinic is located in the Calvert Medical Office Building (MOB) in Suite 302A on the main hospital campus in Prince Frederick.
