CalvertHealth Proudly Celebrates National Doctors’ Day

CalvertHealth is proud to participate in National Doctors’ Day 2019. Celebrated on March 30 of each year, Doctors’ Day offers the opportunity to honor doctors and medical professionals for the care they provide and the impact they make on our lives.

“While we recognize our physicians on March 30, Doctors’ Day is really a celebration of the care and gratitude we have for our providers throughout the year. Personally, I am grateful for the wonderful care my father received at Calvert, and I am happy to have the opportunity to thank his doctors on this special day,” said Theresa Johnson, Associate Vice President, Corporate Communications and Philanthropy for CalvertHealth. President and CEO Dean Teague added, “We are grateful to have this time each year to partner with our community and our neighbors while providing tributes to our dedicated health professionals.”

Anyone who would like to participate in CalvertHealth’s Doctors’ Day celebration can do so by making a donation to the CalvertHealth Foundation of $5 or more. When completing your online donation form, you will be able to provide the name of the local physician or medical professional you would like to honor and also provide a personal message of tribute. All providers being honored will receive a red carnation, the national symbol for Doctors’ Day, and a note sharing your tribute.

In honor of this special day, CalvertHealth Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mike Brooks says, “Your donation to the medical center provides new equipment, technologies, expanded programs and services; and truly impacts our ability to provide safe, high-quality health care and wellness for the Calvert community.”

He continued, “Our goal is to provide exceptional care and make a difference in every life we touch. As a doctor, your donation to the Foundation in honor of your health care provider makes a difference and is greatly appreciated.”
